Welcome to the swift drop hotel

at the Service Station on the M40 just outside London.
Your two parts have come adrift (see photo), but they and the identification note are all safely in one airtight bag. I tried to fix the chain, but I think it needs a sharp, small instrument to dislodge the little metal bubble first. Anyone handy with this sort of thing?
