Maynard's Goal is to find Gilligan's Island and build a home on the beach.
Maynard G. Krab is a commemorative Travel Bug who is appropriately starting his travels from Pincher’s Crab Shack in North Fort Myers, Florida where his owners brought him for a Meet and Greet Event of SW Florida Geo-Cachers on May 28th, 2004.
Maynard gets nervous hanging around “crab shacks”, and prefers coffee shops where beatniks hang out because he’s not much of a “hermit”. Sometimes he even gets to meet an occasional “fiddler” at these venues. He really isn’t “crabby” unless someone gets him “steamed” by harassing him about his “crab legs”. Crab legs may be considered very desirable by some….but to Maynard, they are more than that. They are his only method of transportation unless he uses his pinchers to grab onto some unsuspecting geo-cacher and hitch a ride.
If Maynard hitches a ride with you, please help him out in his travels and maybe even give him some occasional nourishment. He really likes “crab salad”, and he has a sweet tooth too….but don’t let him eat too much “crab cake”!! Maybe a “crab apple” would be a better dessert for him!!
Anyway, after you’ve fed him and given him a ride, post a note and picture of him on his webpage to show where he’s been while on his quest for exotic islands, looking for that just-right beach to call home. Who knows, maybe someday we’ll see him back on the beaches of SW Florida!!
