Crabtree Falls, VA - One of the tallest waterfalls east of the Mississippi (taking all the cascades of this falls together)
Worth the visit to a beautiful waterfall. Luckily we still were able to swing by this spot despite the weather shutting down most of the Blue Ridge Parkway , our intended destination for the week!
Rolled into Lynchburg for some caching late in the evening after this climbing hike, but rain hindered us from taking many photos in the city!

  • Crabtree Falls, Virginia Crabtree Falls, Virginia.
Photo is of lower cascades, other upper cascades seen in photo to upper right. Took nearly an hour to hike up to top of the falls. The photos can't do this justice.

Stop at New River Gorge in West Virginia before heading to Blue Ridge Parkway... This isn't far from where we pulled off to camp. Beautiful River views!
