Current Goal

I’m the Year of The Horse Geocoin and these are my goals.  To see the Northern Lights and to visit the Pyramids of Egypt.  To ride on the back of a camel and in a canoe on a river in the Amazon.  To fly in a fighter jet and float below a hot air ballon.  To cross the International Date Line and be carried on the Great Wall of China.  To be used as a good luck charm by a cowboy riding a bull in a rodeo.  To sail on a tall masted ship and ride behind a steam powered locomotive.  To cross the Andes and travel below the waves on a submarine.  To see the Great Barrier Reef and the stars on the other side of the world.   To be photographed being held by a child atop the Eiffel Tower.  To be lost in a New York City Taxi Cab and found by a tourist from Kathmandu.  To attend a Star Party and visit Cape Canaveral.  To be used in a barter transaction for three cocoanuts and a used surf board in Hawaii.  To be attached to the  collar of a cat named Shrodinger.  To serve as a reminder to all who hold me of the wonders of life’s infinite possibilities.   To return home to San Anselmo California and to the hands of the boy or girl to whom I belong.smiley

About This Item

year-of-horse-500-500x500

Greetings Fellow Human

The Geocoin you are holding is one of a set of thirty-three coins activated for a 6th grade class in San Anselmo California.  In May of 2016 the students will gather to celebrate their 8th grade graduation.  At that time they’ll compare the travel histories and adventures of their individual coins.  Which student will have the coin with the most milage, or the most exotic locations.  Which coin will have the most log entries, or the funniest pictures or stories?  Which coin will have traveled to the farthest northern or southern latitude?

For a brief moment in time you are the steward, the guardian, the care taker of one of these small coins.  You have the opportunity to add to its adventures and in so doing bring happiness to a child far away.  But if you keep the coin for your own collection, if you fail to pass it on, you’ll have broken the chain and disappoint a girl or a boy.  Please don’t let that happen.

Many Thanks

Little Hiawatha smiley
