Current Goal

The Golden Sovereign has but one goal. To see the home of the finest in gold, gems, and jewelry. After all it's where she belongs you know. So, to "The Tower" with her. The Tower of London that is. A photo with a Beefeater (Tower Guard) within the walls would be best. Other photos along the way would be great perhaps a little site seeing and even a pub lunch would be nice.
Photos will be linked to here and posted on (visit link) Golden Sovereign also has an e-mail address for itinerary updates and photos. It's wicketswanderingponypatrol@hotmail.com.
Of course, then she needs to come home to "There's no place like Home Base" cache in Annandale, MN USA.
Thank you to all who help her on her way. If you can't help her, then please move her to a busier cache where she might get help or leave her where she is so that someone else might help her. Thank you

About This Item

Golden Sovereign is the finest in gold, a gift you know, that's what makes her the best kind of gold. Had she not been cast into this fine Geo-Coin, she would surely have been a coin of the realm or more likely a fine example of the best in jewelry. She truly would have been worthy of a home with the Crown Jewels collection.

Sadly someone swapped out my geo coin and replaced it with a Hungarian one. JScott was kind enough to return the box and tag it was traveling with, to me. So the coin is still out there. I'll try to get them to put it back in circulation, and if that doesn't happen, then I'll send out a copy.

Found it... sort of! I should have looked closer at this coin at the cache site, because when I got it home and looked at it's page online, I realized it is not the geocoin advertised! Someone has switched the original 'Golden Sovereign' for a Hungarian "20 Forint" piece... see photos.

I'll post a note on the cache site, perhaps somebody took it (traded for this Hungarian Coin) not knowing how geocoins are supposed to work.

TB Owner please contact me as to what you'd like to do with this guy???

Saw it logged today at a cache near my home and picked it up. Hmmmm, London. I'm heading east to Wyoming the middle of June or I could take it west to the California coast in July. I hate to have the coin sitting idle for so long so perhaps a busy cache nearby would be best.

Visiting Iowa for the week. We're going to take it back to Idaho to help it on its journey. I guess that's not really in the direction of London though. Sorry!
