Update December 2017: we retired the Ford Escape, it had 160K miles on it and was starting to make weird noises. We traded it in for a new Toyota Highlander. Our second, and very trusty sidekick car is our 2004 Green Honda Element. The Highlander doesn't have a front license plate holder, so by default our travel bug plate has landed on the Element.
Original: This is our family car a green 2006 Ford Escape, currently with about 130K miles. We bought it new in Washington DC, and now live in Tampa, Florida. Mostly it likes going to the Florida beaches and carrying around baseball gear. The hybrid electric battery has been good to have and this car averages about 27 miles/gallon.
