Retrieved from "Mondrian" (GC509NZ). By a strange confluence of circumstances, i found myself within the Capitol Beltway for the second day in a row. (I try to visit the DC area as infrequently as possible.) This also happened to be my 365th day of a year-long streak, and the last day of a month-long non-traditional challenge (GC55QPY). I was hoping to find a memorable cache to mark the occasion, but it wasn't looking possible. But when i found out at the last minute that i'd have to drive down this way, i had a look at the map, and blam! There was a ProdigiousOne puzzle i'd solved months ago but not had the chance to claim! An exceedingly well-done webpage-based-puzzle meets field-puzzle-multi which fit my pseudo-milestone requirements bang on. And if those weren't coincidences enough, i find in the cache a TB wanting to go to Canada, when just last evening i met up with caching buddies who are heading up that way tomorrow! Finding this one day sooner would've been more convenient, but i was able to incorporate a detour back to their area. (Any detour which avoids the bloody beltway is a welcome one.)
Happy travels!
