For all the young people, this is what was used before computers and GPS. Never fails and always points north!

we’ve had this compass for a year thinking that we would be traveling north into Canada last Summer. Our trip didn’t happen,so I’ve held onto the trackable until we could get to somewhere farther north than where we found it in Kittery, Maine. Hope this little guy continues northward.

Found it in Maine. Going to carry it back to CNY with us and hopefully replant it in a cache there. It's pretty much a lateral move, but it might have a better chance of getting into Canada.
