Ich bin ein klassischer Vermessungspunkt, welcher in Deutschland oft als Vermarkung von Festpunkten verwendet wird. Du hast meine Art sicher schon an Kreuzungen oder anderen Punkten, welche eine besondere (Weit-)sicht haben, gesehen.

Ich freue mich andere "Artgenossen" kennen zu lernen und würde mich freuen, wenn du das per Foto dokumentierst. Besonders schön finde ich historische Vermessungspunkte, welche vor vielen vielen Jahren geschaffen wurden, um Vermessungen in globalen Koordinatensystemen erst möglich zu machen. Ein Beispiel hierfür sind Triangulationssäulen, welche oft auf Landmarken zu finden sind.

I am a classical surveying pin which is often used as a surveying benchmark in Germany. I am sure you have seen me before at intersections or other spots with a special perspective.

I am glad to get to know other "species" of my kind and hope for pictures with them. I really like historical surveying benchmarks which were made many many years ago. As you might know they firstly enabled land surveying in global coordinate systems. An example for that are historical triangulation stations which can be often found on landmarks.
