Though my home is in the American midwest, I'd like to travel far and wide collecting memories. Help continue my adventure!
This is the first trackable I am releasing into the wild! I activated this one on my husband G-Man's birthday. As my first trackable, I wanted a memorable hitchhiker, mission and story ... but the longer I stewed over it, the more anxious I got about making it perfect (like my husband) so I decided I had to just get it out there! Maybe I'll have a more profound mission for my next one.
The hitchhiker is a pewter keychain representing the collector's club of a famous Ohio basket company. I was a sales rep for this company for several years and my love for their baskets shows in the small fortune of memories and baskets I collected. Even though I have been out of that business for about 10 years now, I'm still on every mailing list it seems, so why not celebrate that phase of my life by launching this trackable too?
Update: Christmas 2014 - I am lauching several more travel bugs in the Collecting Memories series with the touching stories and missions I hoped for when I activated this one. Stay tuned ... maybe you'll log them all!
