Please take me to beautiful places! Please post pictures!
This travel bug is for our very special nephew and cousin, Anthony who had open heart surgery at 3 months old. He is doing well but would like you to take his heart on a journey to beautiful places. He would love to see pictures of his travels. Update! This month (5/07) Anthony will have his 1st birthday. His surgery at UCSF for TOF was a success and the only visable sign of his heart problem is the scar on his chest. He is happy and healthy and even went on his first geocache with us about a month ago! Update: (7/10) Anthony is 4 years old now and still doing great. He's got a lot of energy, big smiles, and loves singing 'Sweet Home Alabama". He's due for another surgery for some repairs to his heart, but for now the doctors are checking him every 6 months or so and will determine when the time is right. We are happy to see that his heart is traveling all over the place!
7/11 - another update. Anthony just had his 2nd surgery at UCSF and all went well. He had a few repairs and valve replacement and was up and walking within 3 days. Hopefully this will be the last surgery for a while. Anthony is one tough guy! His heart condition hasn't slowed him down a bit - he will be starting kindergarten this year and lately has been into playing his new toy guitar with his dad, uncle and cousin's band.
