Hello fellow cacher. My name is Chuck and I have been caching since May 2013. The geo-name I use is Diamondback 7, though I have been Lobo 7, Dagger 7, Diablo 7 and most recently Ninja 7. These are all callsigns from my twenty-five years in the Army, but I chose DB7 as it holds a special place in my heart. The Diamondbacks were D Troop 5th Squadron 14th Cavalry Regiment based out of Schofield Barracks Hawaii. As a First Sergeant I helped stand them up as a newly created organization, trained and prepared the men for combat. The Diamondbacks deployed to Iraq and performed better than well. Unfortunately, they have been re-flagged as the 2-14, so I use my old callsign as an homage to these great men. I am now retired, but caching gets me out doing land navigation, and patrolling.
Happy caching,
Plan to win, Prepare to win, Expect to win.

What a delightful time talking about our military experience. So different with me being a support person and you a front line troop, but both deeply devoted to our missions. My first Aerial Survey Team I arrived as a Second Lieutenant and the Senior Master Sergeant Meader told me that I would have a good career if I would just follow his lead for my first thirty days. Wow was that good advice. With great respect for your service and appreciation for your kindness, I look forward to our geocaching paths crossing often.
