Buddy Walk Bug hopes to educate people on Down Syndrome awareness by making it to 20 cities that host Buddy Walks before Down Syndrome Awareness Month, which is October 2004.

About This Item

The Buddy Walk was created in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to raise awareness and funds for Down syndrome. Kansas City Missouri holds one of the largest Buddy Walks in the nation so Buddy Walk Bug thought it would be fun to travel to some of the other 170 cities that host Buddy Walks. Log on to www.NDSS.org To find cities that host Buddy Walks and get this bug moving!

Please place some kind of Buddy Walk memorabilia (ie medal, brochure, registration form etc.) you can find in that city in with Buddy Bug and send him on his way.

    Found this bug in GC#069, Quasi King. Looked up Buddy Walks- just so happens that I raise pups for Lions Foundation of Canada, Dog Guides, and one of the services that these dogs can be trained for is Autism. Buddy Walks are held in Toronto in May, so I won't be able to find any memorabilia but maybe this little bug will find its way to Hamilton in time for the October Buddy Walk in that city!
