Food Awareness

My geodaughter has very severe food allergies. The Food Allergy Network (http://www.foodallergy.org) released these special bracelets to raise awareness about childhood food allergies. Remember, although my daughter can eat peanuts with ease, milk and eggs will create an anaphylaxic reaction. People don't think that non-peanut food items can create these reactions. This bracelet is her way to tell the world about the kid allergies.

I discovered this Travel Bug during a pumpkin event in Portland, Maine, USA. It may be on the other side of the globe, but the message is just as important. For some, the food does not even need to be consumed, but simply touched (or a contaminated object touched) for it to trigger severe reactions.
