I had a great time presenting STEMlandia and Ravenous at the Tech & Nature Summit and attending the Children & Nature Network Conference at Lost Pines in Austin, TX I wanted to launch a Traveler.
Nature deficit disorder, as Richard Louv says in his book Last Child in the Woods, contributes to so many of societies problems, especially in children. Geocaching is one of the great ways for families to explore nature and "treat" nature deficit disorder, so it only seemed fitting to send this little traveler on a mission. It's mission is for children and/or families to help it to move around the world to caches at other beautiful nature spots. Getting children out into nature is our only hope for the future. Open the door, let them out!
