My wife and daughter will be dropping this travel bug when they visit family in CA. My goal will be to have "New Birth of Freedom" return to our area in Dover, PA. If you're in scouts or know a scout feel free to add your council patch and lets see how many patches this bug picks up.
The patch symbolizes the area where our BSA troop is located. Adams, York, Lancaster, Harrisburg and Gettysburg are shown within the patch. Which states why our BSA council has been named "New Birth of Freedom". 2013 was the 150th anniversary of the battle of Gettysburg. Our Troop was part of a camporee that got the once in a life time chance to stay on the battle field. In fact Spangler Farms, where we stayed, was the hospital for the Union's Army. Spangler Farms will soon be open for the public to visit! Looking forward to watching "New Birth of Freedom" travel 3,000 miles back home.
