Current Goal

Sunshine in Alaska varies from zero to 24 hours per day depending on month of year and location in the great state. This sun catcher wants to catch all the sunshine it can by visiting sunny states and countries. Take it to sunny places and return it to Alaska before the longest day of the year 2017. That would be June 21, 2017. Be sure to indicate on your log if the sun is shining when you find it. And if not, don't worry, the sun will come out again soon.

About This Item

Sunshine is important to me. It boosts my spirits and my outlook on life. It gives me vitamin D. Catching a few rays with friends or family is especially fun - like on the beach in Hawaii.

(Don't forget the flip side - the potential for skin cancer. Always use sun screen to protect your health.)

My apologies. I picked this up on July 7/19 but apparently didn’t log it. I had lost my car keys at GZ and with all the commotion I guess I forgot. I found my keys but was at a kids camp close by with no internet for a week. I had thought I logged them there but I guess it didn’t go through. So glad I noticed. Will send him on his way in a couple weeks while on vacation.
