Current Goal

Well, Alaska Moose was racing Alaska Bear to Washington DC. Then he decided to come back to Alaska. But in a whimsical change of mind, flew back to Kentucky and still wants to get to Washington DC and have his picture taken with a monument.

Finally, after such an adventure, Alaska Moose wants to travel back home to the Matanuska Valley in Alaska.

No one told Alaska Moose it was an election year! No one told Alaska Moose that Sarah Palin, from Alaska, would be on the Republican ticket! So please, an ammended mission for Alaska Moose. Please get a photo of Alaska Moose in the area of the White House. It will probably be as close as anything Alaskan is going to get there.

And, please get a photo of Alaska Moose with election signs or t-shirts! And dresses. That what "field-dressing" a moose means, isn't it? You betcha!

Thank you everyone for making this travel bug succeed. I would liek to especially thank Rydog8133 for their help, and their patience, as I have not finished taking care of travel bug business until today. It has been quite a trip, and I hope to make a shadow box display of Alaska Moose and his adventures to share in the future. This travel bug's days of travel are done, and he will only travel to geocaching events and such in the future. Once again, my thanks.

Since it was such a nice day, we decided to go out on a hunt for some caches. The Garfield Park area, had two caches and not too far from there were three more. We found Alaska Moose on the third cache of the day. Very surprised to find a TB, since the owner does not recommend to leave any there unless you are willing to lose them. Luckily, I'm heading to Juneau, AK next week, so before we went home we drove around DC and took some pictures. If you'd like to see more of DC I can leave the TB here or take it back to AK. Maybe Sarah Palin can bring it back again!

We thought we would show the moose presdant Calvin Cooliges house and where he is buried what a plae but not a lot of fan fare so he will be near washghington this week
