"Da Bear from Bjornson" is an awesome wooden bear given to me by another cacher and his family. But I just can't send that beautiful bear out caching. So this little red honey bear will get to travel in the original one's place. I have a series of caches in a wonderful school forest called Bjornson. One of the caches was "bearmuggled", or at least a bear attempted to get into the cache. The lock n'lock container sustained many punctures from his teeth and deep scratches from his claws but, Da Bear was unable to get inside the cache. Since then, I've included warnings on all of my Bjornson listings to be aware of your surroundings and watch out for Da Bear. I also held an geocaching event at Bjornson the first part of Dec. 2006 and it was wonderful! This bear is a reminder of the real bears at Bjornson and all of the wonderful cachers I met at my event. Da Bear and I will be traveling to caches and he hopes to be discovered by other cachers. Da Bear will not be traveling alone - he's just too awesome!
He's a very handsome wooden bear with a backpack (packed with pinecones) and a hiking stick. He stands 4 1/5" tall and unlike his namesake, his teeth and claws will do no damage.
