My brother formerly ran cross-country and still does long-distance marathons, but now doesn't have many chances to participate. This birthday TB wants to visit as many such races as possible -- such as the Boston, New York, and London marathons -- and especially would enjoy seeing some of the smaller ones (like "Grandma's Marathon" in Duluth, MN).
I launched this bug in celebration of my brother's 40th birthday -- he's accomplished more in his first 40 years than many folks do in a lifetime! Although we give him a LOT of grief, he's someone that we love and admire. Happy 40th, Steve -- now you can live vicariously via your own travel bug! The TB launch point is the location of the surprise b-day party -- because what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, unless you are a geocacher! (Even encrypted logs don't remain secret for long!) UPDATE 2017: My brother turned 50 this year, so this little TB has been on the run for 10 years! Thanks for keeping it moving! (And it still needs to visit the Motherland aka WI!)
