Ich bin in Essen geboren, mitten im Ruhrgebiet. Vor dort aus ging es dann über Hamburg nach München, wo ich heute lebe.

I was born in Essen in the Ruhrgebiet. From there, we went via Hamburg to Munich, where I live today.
„Glück auf!" ist der deutsche Bergmannsgruß. Er beschreibt die Hoffnung der Bergleute: „Ich wünsche Dir Glück, tu einen euen Gang auf“. Weiterhin wird mit diesem Gruß der Wunsch für ein gesundes Ausfahren aus dem Bergwerk nach der Schicht verbunden. Den Gruß hört man im Ruhrgebiet auch heute noch, wer zum Beispiel mal bei Heimspielen des "FC Schalke 04" war, hat ihn und das Steigerlied sicher schon gehört.
