About This Item

Benchy

3DBenchy is a popular model for testing 3D printers made by CreativeTools. Despite its apparent simplicity, it includes some of the typical problem areas for 3D printers, like overhangs, slopes, small details and details that should be perfectly symmetrical.

This particular print was not perfect, it has some stringing (thin strings between open areas) and it is not printed on maximum precision, but apart from that the printer did a pretty good job.

The printer is one of my two home printers, a Prusa Mini. Home printers are generally relatively small and low cost. This was recommended to me at a lecture about 3D printing at a mega event.
