About This Item

Monty

During our stay in Montreal past summer (2006) we started with Geocaching and got totally hooked. Monty is bought in Montreal and would really like to go back there, preferably passing through the States we went to as well: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
Pictures of his trip are more than welcome!

The first summit in the Bavarian Mountains for the little bear!
For the first part we could use the mountainbike. And then there was a very steep ascend to a cache located close to the summit of “Mount Soiernspitze”.

  • Mountainbiking (1) This way to climb the mountains was quite easy for the bear
  • Mountainbiking (2)
  • Snow “My backside becomes cold!”

Before we climbed our first mountain we visited an old road, build by the Romans about 1800 years ago. The road crossed the Alps and was the shortest way between the German city of Augsburg and Italy.

Monty has interrupted his journey to Canada in order to visit the mountains. As an enthusiastic mountaineer I’m glad to show Monty the mountains of Bavaria and maybe Austria.
Monty will travel back to the Potracers in some weeks to use their good connections to Canada.

Having accompanied us for quite a while Monty is currently traveling to the king of the travel bug mountain photos. This is a special deal for nice travel bug owners only.

Monty is looking forward to taking part in some exciting mountain tours and will return after a while to continue his trip to Canada.

Monty is back from his Easter holiday. He stayed in Marktredwitz/Frankonia and accompanied us on several trips.
He visited the ruin Weissenstein (Whitestone).
He traveled to the Czech Republic to admire the Soos Reservation, an area wíth young volcano activities, where it looks like on the moon.
After that he saw the Metternich Castle in Kynzvart, north of Frantiskovy Lazne, where he was logged to document his trip.
At last he visited the famous Frankonian Ester fountains.
