Current Goal

Millard Fillmore, 13th president, would like to travel more than he did in his first life. He did visit all over the Northeast and the South but did not get to visit many of the states west of the Mississippi that he helped to move to statehood. Let's see if we can get him to all the lower 48!

About This Item

Our Mini Millard quilt celebrates our 13th president. Our fourth grade class is on the back, out in the woods near our geocache called Webster Woods. Our class learned and sang Millard's campaign song from 1856 at his birthday celebration this year at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo. We think Millard was a good man who did a terrific job with a very challenging presidency and succeeded in postponing the Civil War for 11 years when he signed the controversial Compromise of 1850. But enough about Millard's past! Let's get him visiting our beautiful United States!

This TB and 11 of his friends were complaining about how long and cold the winter in MN has been so I took them along with me on my FL golf outing. They begged to stay and travel down in the warmth of FL for a while.
