Unfortunately, I forgot the socializer in 'the other car' and did not bring her to the mega event. I also wrote a long story for her, but the upload glitched and was lost. I hope to leave her somewhere soon so she can travel the world.
My new story is about me, a mother of four children. I woke up this morning and took oldest child to soccer practice. During soccer practice, I shopped for jeans at the DAV thrift store. My jeans are too tight and when I bend over they show parts I don't want others to see...Ya know what I mean?
I picked up oldest child and let him drive me home, all the while fearing for my life and his life. He has a learners permit. After several white knuckle events I made it home and waited for next to oldest child to come home from her soccer practice. I read the Hampton Roads Geocaching Mega Event schedule and realized I was not going to make it to any of the games, lunch or demonstrations. I forgot my disappointment when the youngest child wanted to buy a birthday present for a birthday party he is attending tonight. It reminded me that the girl children also had a birthday party to go to and I had no present. So I gathered all the picnic gear and children and my significant other and went to rite aide. Amazon gift cards for all the birthday boys and girls. Then, realizing we were not going to make it to lunch at the mega event, we stopped by WaWa and bought all the children sandwiches. We spent a small fortune and hours waiting for our children to decide on what chips would go well with their sandwiches. Finally, I'm in the car, headed to the mega event with food and picnic gear. We make it just in time for the mega event lunch, and enjoy sandwiches and chicken. We spend another small fortune buying geocaching stuff and meeting great people. After, watching all of the raffle winners collect their prizes, we go to birthday party number one. I eat too much pizza and cake. We go to birthday party number too. It's a drop off so no more gorging opportunities available for me. Now, oldest child drives is home and drives like he has driven for twenty years. I beam with pride as we pull into the driveway. I shower with my significant other, open a beer and write this story. I hope you liked the day in the life of a mother of four...
