Current Goal

TIGGER WANTS TO GO TO ENGLAND and visit the 100-acre wood and play in the places where Christopher Robin lived. After that he would like to explore Europe while collecting anything related to Winnie-the-Pooh to bring back with him when it’s time to head home to Washington State in the United States.

I grew to love Tigger after being in a serious accident in 1998. At a time when I could only concentrate for a few minutes at a time, I re-read the Pooh books and fell in love with Tigger. No matter what happened, he bounced back with a happy spirit. I decided that I would bounce back just like Tigger. And I did! Later I studied more about Winnie-the-Pooh and visited the locations of his origins in Manitoba. Since I may never get to England, I am sending this surrogate in my place. “What shall we do about poor little Tigger? If he never eats nothing he’ll never get bigger. He doesn’t like honey and haycorns and thistles, Because of the taste and because of the bristles. And all the good things which an animal likes, Have the wrong sort of swallow or too many spikes. But whatever his weight in pounds, shillings, and ounces, He always seems bigger because of his bounces.”

Mrs Ganet was very excited to find Tigger as she is also a great fan, with Winnie the Pooh plaques on her bedroom wall and numerous Tigger Christmas decorations. She has PROMISED to let Tigger go very soon.

Update - so sorry that we've kept this so long. The snow curtailed our caching. However, I'm pleased to say that Tigger had a lovely stay with us and found lots of friends to play with - see photo. We're taking him to Belgium tomorrow so hopefully we will find him a nice new home.
