About This Item

Operation Iraqi Freedom.JPG

This Operation Iraqi Freedom medallion was a gift from Bruce who is stationed in Balad, Iraq. It already has a lot of miles on it so I figured it would love being a travel bug. Since Americans have so much freedom to pursue their dreams, I wanted to honor the men and women of the US military (and their families)who have made this possible. From 1776 until today, they have been there to create the greatest nation in the world. I'd like anyone finding this medallion to take a minute to say a silent thank you to these people. And, oh yeah, the flip side of the medallion is a tribute to Duke Basketball...go Blue Devils :)

Thank-you to Bruce and to all the service people and their families. I am grateful that there are people who have a strong enough committment to the country that they are willing to give up so much and to do the best job possible with whatever situation they are asked to face. May everyone come home safe (and soon!).

Saw the coin in the Private without Rank cache today. Just letting you know it is still there. As there was a CITO today nearby left it for others to enjoy.
