Duck Band is in a race with 23 other ducks. Who will travel the most miles in one year? Who will have the most fun adventures? This grunge-punk-rocker duck sure knows how to make music. He would enjoy visiting other grunge-punk-rocker bands on his journey.

Duck Band

"Flotilla of drifting rubber duckies at sea since 1992” That headline was the inspiration for the GKG Duck race. For Christmas 2003 the Gerads-Kieffer-Gustafson families were given TB Ducks, each duck reflects the unique personality of the family member. The goal is to travel the globe like the 29,000 rubber bath toys that went overboard in 1992 and have been followed by the media since. Now we can have fun watching where our ducks travel and see what high-sea adventures they have. Quite a surprise to find this bug, will try and place it somewhere closer to a bigger town in hopes of it making it to a Grunge Band. May 29, 2004 tried to take TB to larger city but cache I found was too small, but did get a few miles on it.

Well, rural Iowa isn't really known for it's rock music scene. This little bird is going to have to visit a cache near I-80 to have a decent chance of getting to the sounds he longs to hear. For this week, he can quack along with my collection.

Found Duck Band today and what a music lesson we have had. I think a trip to a sound studio is in order so will plan that trip for the adventure. Duck Band is enjoying a brief visit with 4 other family members tonight. It won't be long though and the race is back on....(if we can get Duck tape out of the workshop)....Rockin Rod & Downybird
