Current Goal

Icicle's newest goal is to proceed to the Tape Worm Cache in Vestal, New York.

About This Item

Icicle is on it's second journey (starting 1/13/04). Going from a cache in Redmond Washington, trying to get back to the cache it first visited 18 months ago in New York State.

Icicle started life by being mailed to the Owner's Dad In Vestal, New York. His first goal was to go from Vestal, NY to Vanishing Solitude Cache in Colorado. THis was accomplished after an 18 month journey though the south (so much for a northerly route) and Utah (overshot colorado). His twin, Corn Pone who was supposed to be taking a southerly route, disappered in Pennsylvania.

Sorry it took me so long to get him back out, I fear he is way behind in the race. I worked on my cache for about 2 months but never got it placed (it'll be out this spring but I didn't want to hold him anylonger), and then I dropped out of the caching scene for awhile (grad apps and interviews suck loads of free time).

Hopefully the next cacher will move him faster then I did.

Snagged this guy back on the 25th of August, but just haven't gotten around to logging it yet (sorry about that). He'll be dropped off in my soon to be placed -- What a long strange trip it's been -- cache. Then I'm guessing Zoisrus, Alphwolf, Emjayw, or MIT will head over from Cleveland and snag the badboy helping him continue his journey. Question is which one of them will be able to complete my cache first... or will it be a gang effort? (had to bait them all a bit).

For a great caching experience check out the The Fellowship of the Ring cache. Plus while your in Erie, check out the Gamehendge Rangers other caches.
Or wait for my upcoming -- what a long strange trip it's been -- cache, loosely based on my travels across the country, a difficult cache featuring miles of hiking, tons of waypoints, puzzles, and other surprises.

Picked up Icicle. I will be taking it to Western New York at some point in the near future. Hopefully this will help it get to Colorado.
