***03/04/05 Cache is missing. Received an email from cachers indicating it wasn't in the "Yes, Close to the Edge" cache. Oh well, another one gone...***
To visit any and all caches, lame or otherwise.
"Des Palourdes Mortes"
Background: In a discussion of lame caches and a way to warn potential
finders, the code "The dead clam dances at midnight" was suggested.
Another cacher offered, "The long sobs of the violins of autumn wound
my
heart with a monotonous languor". They
c
ompromised on, "The long sobs of the dead clams wound my heart with a
monotonous languor as they dance at midnight" which, to further
disguise
was rendered in french as, "Les longs sanglots des palourdes mortes
blessent mon coeur avec un languor monotone
pendant qu'ils dansent minuit". This being too long to enter into web
terminals while on the road, it was shortened to DPM for "des palourdes
mortes".

Next thing you know a cacher DPM'd (now a verb) a cache which was
archived in response. He felt bad, but the placer wished he'd been
straightforward and honest rather than hiding behind the code.
Shortly thereafter at an event, a TB of the offending cacher was
circulating--which was prompty DPM'd tongue-in-cheek (and found funny).
Meanwhile the placer had come across a 'DPM' token, which was promptly
turned into this TB!
So the mission of this DPM TB is to get into the hands of, BrianSnat,
Perfect Tommy, Stayfloopy, JMBella, then visit caches good OR bad.

okay, I promise I am not crazy and I do know what I'm doing well......most of the time anyway. I logged this one into Amazing Grace because that is where I orig. grabbed it from but it wasn't "showing" so on the puter. So I logged it in and now I am "taking it back" so it will show it's miles. Will drop it off somewhereshakin' since it has been sitting in a graveyard for who knows how long!

The Alston's from ANACOCO LA were working on our Delorme Challenge and found this tracking coin in a cache in DELHI, LA called AMAZING GRACE (GC117R6). I like the history behind this coin and I can promise ya! If it stays in LA long enough it will have a chance to visit plenty of DPM caches! lol! I see from the tags on it that it has stayed in several really neat travel bug B & B's and motels so hopefully we can put it in a cache that will show it just a good of a time.
