EntSoc Bug Five begins his travels at Salt Lake City, the site of the 2004 annual meeting of the Entomological Society of America. He would like to travel to caches near the sites of future ESA meetings, arriving around the time of the meeting. ,Austin TX, Nov. 2012, Portland OR, Nov. 2013, Minneapolis, Nov. 2014
Following my tradition, began in 2002, I'm releasing Travel Bugs near the site of the annual meeting of the Entomological Society of America, hoping they can travel to the next place the buggy people will be assembling, while seeing a lot of caches and meeting a lot of cachers along the way. EntSoc Bug Five is a real bug, a member of the order Hemiptera. He is snugly encased in a plastic key ring fob. Note the resemblance of the pattern on his back to a human face or mask. He joins my other surviving EntSoc Bugs all journeying toward the next ESA meeting. Please take care of him and log him properly. And do post photos of his adventures. Good luck little Bug, I hope to see you in Indiana or California or Nevada.
Update: December 2008. The bug got to Idaho Springs Idaho in November 2008 which is the closest it has come to an ESA meeting yet - about 490 miles. Keep moving.
