This is my "Two Cents" about geocaching.
I started geocaching as a means to practice with a GPS for hiking and kayaking.
After finding a few caches and meeting some fellow cachers I was hooked on caching.
Caching is my favorite way to get outdoors and has helped me to explore interesting areas that I never knew existed. Some of these interesting areas were in areas I had lived or even traveled to frequently. Thanks to local cachers and organizations I can look at just about any area I am planning to travel to and find really interesting places to go and see.
I like to cache mostly in parks and the woods, not so much in the urban environment. I can be found caching by mountain bike, hike and kayak mostly. Geocaching events are a lot of fun and a great way to meet new friends and catch up with old friends. One thing that has impressed me is how friendly and helpful geocachers tend to be. My favorite caches are ammo cans or any cache with some interesting SWAG, especially Pathtags.
My Pathtags usually feature a Calvin from Calvin and Hobbs. Calvin matches my caching style of full speed ahead there are caches to be found!
At the end of the day I believe caching is about the adventure.
