Some information on Colorado Moose: Until the late 1970s, only a few stray moose would wander into northern Colorado from herds in Wyoming. In 1978, Colorado wildlife managers arranged for the first transplant of 12 moose from Utah to Colorado’s North Park region near Walden. Due to very successful efforts, Colorado’s moose population now is approaching 1,000 animals statewide. Colorado’s Shiras moose adults weigh 800 to 1,200 pounds, and bulls stand up to 6 feet at the shoulder. Bull moose grow flattened, palmated antlers with points around the edge reaching up to 5 feet wide in larger and older bulls. Moose may live for up to 20 years in the wild. The term moose comes from the Algonquin Indian word meaning "eater of twigs". Please move this trackable along to any cache, anywhere, and log where it goes on geocaching.com Thanks !!!

Well Mr. Moose has had quite the adventure, wish his digs were a little cooler, but it’s definitely a Texas size lock and lock! Hopefully they offer him the 72oz steak. I’m sure he can eat it all then it’s free!

Fun story here! Only person to die on the Lewis and Clark Expedition is buried here. His original grave eroded and his bones were collected and moved 600 feet inland and covered with a concrete plot and a mini version of what looks like the Washington monument in DC.

Apparently I forgot to log Mr. Moose’s trek through North Dakota! So this was one cache we visited. The snow made it impossible to cache much more than light pole caches!
