Gold Rush Beers

We picked up this lighthearted key chain at the Skagway Brewing Co in Skagway Alaska while on a weeklong cruise from Seattle to Glacier Bay along the Inside Passage. The original Skagway Brewing Company first opened in 1897, a year before the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898. It closed in 1904 a few years after the bust. In 2007 it opened in its current location and today it is a great place to sample some fine microbrews while you spend some time in this iconic Gold Rush town and surrounding area.
