Duckweed is in a race with 23 other ducks. Who will travel the most miles in one year? Who will have the most fun adventures? Once a farmer's daugher, always a farmer's daughter. This duck still helps out on the farm. And, she is always looking for ways to "improve" the homestead (like moving walls). She would enjoy visiting farms and farm related stores on her journey.
"Flotilla of drifting rubber duckies at sea since 1992” That headline was the inspiration for the GKG Duck race. For Christmas 2003 the Gerads-Kieffer-Gustafson families were given TB Ducks, each duck reflects the unique personality of the family member. The goal is to travel the globe like the 29,000 rubber bath toys that went overboard in 1992 and have been followed by the media since. Now we can have fun watching where our ducks travel and see what high-sea adventures they have. To learn more about the ducks that inspired this race, visit (visit link) Look at the family photo to see the other ducks in the race.

It had stopped raining so I decided to go for a walk back in history.
"Road Rash" TBug was with me but had to wait in the parking area as the sign at the entrance of the trail said No Motorcycles or up to a $2000 fine.
Nice view of Valley and Swan Lake from trail.
Found a pair of glasses on trail, if you lost them email me.
P/U "Duckweed" TBug as she wanted to visit the farms and caches in the Tappen area.
Left a swamp critter to keep the bears away.

I found Duckweed in my fourth cache of the day while visiting from the Okanagan. He will fly to Washington DC with me next week to visit the White House.
