About This Item

Cheers!

We found the Austin keychain in a cache in Massachusetts placed by a cacher from Texas and thought he might like to see it again before sending it BACK to the NEW owners once more!!! Pics with anything 'cowboy' related would be greatly appreciated!

This bug was found "In Duck outta water" by a crew from the Sharpe family reunion which was held at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort from 7/2-7/6/2004. The bug will be reset/replanted by 7/9/2004. The crew struck out in the late afternoon of July 3rd from the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in two vehicles. After a few false starts, we managed to find the right turn-off to the area adjacent to the cache. The view to the west of the cache is mountainous, although the location itself is in the foothills east and south of Cheyenne Mountain. The path where it was located appeared to be either an old railroad bed, devoid of rail and ties, or an old levy that has seen better days. The raised path runs in an east/west direction and is about 6 feet above the ground surrounding it. There were huge chunks of very old concrete randomly scattered along the north side of the path, with a stream, or body of water 30 yards further north. The structure was obviously man made, but appears to have been built many years ago. The residential neighborhood to the south is a mix of very old houses, and mobile homes. I'd be interested in knowing exactly what the raised bed actually is and how long it has been there. shak

After a bad experience at the last cache, this TB is among many friends at a cache full of other keychains, and a wee bit closer to its destination.
