Cooper

Hi my name is Cooper!

I'm a character from the middle grade novel novel, Cooper and Packrat, by Tamra Wight.  I love to be outside but hate cleaning bathrooms, which is something I have to do, because my parents own a campground. Most kids have chores, but I have the worst chore of all…cleaning the bathrooms at the campground, not just the bathrooms, the ladies room. My trusted pal Oscar, helps me empty out the bathroom…literally. He is a three-legged frog who is not well liked by the ladies. 

Some of my hobbies are to protect wildlife, geocache, fish and play manhunt.. I love following where my travel bug  takes you…hoping to find whatever it is that you are looking for!  Please return it to Poland Spring Campground in Maine, which is the inspiration behind the book. 

Return to Maine - which is the setting for the Cooper and Packrat middle grade, eco-adventure series. 

The students in Mrs. Shanning's English class will be watching the progress three trackables, Cooper, Packrat and Roy, as they make their way back to Maine. They are reading the second adventure in the series in which trouble has returned to Wilder Family Campground. When Cooper and Packrat find their geo-cache box full of illegal eagle parts, their lazy summer is over. Someone wants those valuable parts back. And if they can’t get the parts back, they’ll settle for holding one of the rare Pine Lake eaglets hostage instead. Cooper, Packrat, and Roy must elude two goons, tolerate an annoying teenager, keep tabs on a shady new camper, and stake out the eagle’s nest — all without getting grounded.
