After spending quite some time out on the island with me, it is time for Whitebeard to move on. He has been a true hero in the war raging across this tiny forsaken rock, fighting in many battles against the fierce, relentless enemy known only as the Gnieob. Being enormously vast in both their numbers and resources, the Gnieob continuously unleash wave after wave of powerful attacks, bent on the destruction of the good people here and all that we have built. Their constant bombardment is devastating and routinely breaches even our strongest defenses. It has been a long, tiring and costly war, one which seems will never see its end. Many have fallen or have suffered greatly at the hands of the cunning (yet imprudent) Gnieob. After fighting valiantly in the great siege of stronghold Eye Detee, Whitebeard the wise and powerful was overwhelmed by a particularly sly and devious Gnieob, known as Bor Namlhas, and was captured. This was a very sad day for us all. Many days and nights he spent locked away in the enemy's dungeons, where he was tortured and suffered endless abuse and hardship. Then one day the enemy guards' ever watchful eyes shifted focus (as is quite common with the erratic Gnieob), and the spell in their power depleting gaze had been broken. Whitebeard was able to summon his remaining strength and escape, slipping away into the cold and windy night. His body scarred, his staff broken, he rejoined his cohorts and (after recuperating) subsequently led us to an astonishing and unprecedented victory at Fortress Discus. Though it did not end the conflict outright, this battle was crucial in turning the tide, and victory will certainly be ours. Now Whitebeard will set out on his way again, to see what other adventures he can discover, and maybe find his way back to Middle Earth.
