Hi. My Name is Woz and I am a Quokka.
I used to live on Rottnest Island, just off the coast of Perth. I had a pretty quiet life, hopping around, visiting with the tourists, and eating the many grasses and leaves that are found there.
A little while ago, a human came to the area near my home. She placed a placed a plastic container in a tree stump and left. I looked at it, sniffed around, but couldn’t work out why it was there.
Shortly afterwards, lots of humans came to the location. They looked around and kept finding the container. They would open it, and write something in the little book inside.
I was very curious and decided to ask the next person about it.
The next day a man and his 3 kids came looking. I hopped towards him.
I asked him about the container. He explained to me about Geocaching. What a great idea. I asked him if he could take me back to where al the humans live, so that I could go Geocaching with them.
I now live in Perth. I love to go Geocaching and to meet other Geocachers. Look out for me at West Oz Geocaching events, or when I am on an outing with my West Oz Geocaching committee friends.
Please write about our experiences together.
I look forward to meeting you all.
