I remembered to grab a TB before IAmKoi and I took a short trip up to Phoenix to visit some family who are in town for the weekend. I’ve had this TB for about 2 years… it’s about time I dropped it off!
I picked Jackie’s TB up in Chugach State Park, Alaska. Over the last two years, this TB has:
- Visited a state park in California (redwoods!) and experienced a proposal (and later a breakup - whoops)
- Been out of the country—Belize, Spain, Portugal, and France
- Experienced the beginning of COVID (in Southern Arizona)
- Visited a NUMBER of parks in Arizona (Catalina SP, Gila Box Riparian Nat’l Conservation Area, Tuzigoot NM, Sedona Red Rocks Rte 179, Grand Canyon National Park, Coronado NF/Santa Rita Mtns)
- Summited Mt. Wrightson (9,456’ - the tallest peak in the greater Tucson area)
- Hiked a couple sections of the Arizona Trail
- Visited Utah - Bryce Canyon National Park, Escalante National Monument (especially Spooky and Peek-a-Boo Slot Canyons!)
- Attended some geo-meetups
- Visited White Sands National Park and Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico
- Visited city parks in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin
- Visited the Florida Keys and Everglades National Park
- Seen my first job resignation and move to a new company
- Visited the 4 corners (AZ, UT, CO, NM)
- Visited Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado
- Braved some over-the-pass, white-knuckle winter driving in Colorado/New Mexico during a move from AZ to CO
- Visited Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs… TWICE
- Hopped back and forth from Arizona to Colorado
It’s been a busy couple of years, but I chose this TB hotel to drop Jackie’s TB off, since it’s right next to Tucson’s Catalina State Park… a GREAT place for geocaching and dropping TBs!
