Hi my name is “Gold Digger #2”, I was assembled to be a replacement to the previous travel bug of the same namesake. GD #1 had a very short non eventful existence, and it’s my hope that I can make up for that. My predecessor disappeared shortly after being released. Matter of fact the whole cache went missing with a few travel bugs. But GD #1 will get the last laugh in the matter. I figure the cache got found and got scattered to the winds including GD #1. Catch is that both him and I are rocks!! We were rocks before we were travel bugs, and we will still be rocks long after travel bugs are a thing of the past. Like I said, we are both rocks, which makes us very patient. The logic behind GD #1 & I is quite simple. I am Pyrite aka “Fool’s Gold”, and you bipeds are tromping around the woods looking for “treasure”. So it seems fitting that I am the “treasure” that you found. Sort of a “Geological Pun” if you ask me. If you are curious as to what I want to do while I am a travel bug. That’s pretty easy to answer, I want to be outdoors and travel the world. I am pretty much a “ore of the earth” kind of rock. I know I borrowed that line. But why does salt get it’s own cliches, and the rest of us other rocks get treated like dirt? I digress. So take me out to see the world and keep me moving from cache to cache. This old rock wants to roll!!! And if we happen upon GD #1, that would be sweet. But I figure that will be about as likely as me, a poor ole travel bug, figuring out cold fusion. Thanks Much ~Gold Digger #2~
