Current Goal

To visit Fairy Hills and Stone Circles or other Mystical places. It doesn't need to go in a Micro cache that is up to you my friend. Keep me a while if you wish and place me somewhere when you have time.

About This Item

The Sidhe (shee) or Fairy is considered to be a distinct race, quite separate from human beings yet who have had much contact with mortals over the centuries, and there are many documented testimonies to this. There are many types of Sidhe.

The Baobhan Sidhe (baa'-van shee), is a particularly evil Sidhe, a VAMPIRE!!! The Baobhan Sidhe lives in a Stone Circle on a Sithean (Fairy Hill) near Kirkmichael and travels great distances from it. The Coin you have spent a night on the Fairy Hill and may be cursed! As legend goes anyone or anything who stays on a Fairy Hill after sunset will be cursed unless they throw a piece of flint or a siller coin in the direction of Strathardle before sunset on the day they find it. The Curse can vary from person to person, some good some bad! Tis your decision my friend. You will not know you are in the presence of the Baobhan Sidhe till it is too late! Be careful my fellow cacher! Remember they can change shape! Do you really know the person standing next to you!

For me I have no fear as I am the 104th Guaille of Shien Hill, Candlestick to the Glaistig and Farrier to Tuatha De Danaan.

Throw Well! and Throw True!

Jacobite thought that this was the perfect spot for it, and I agree.
I must say, just before I got out of the car, I grabbed the coin and ended up with a thorn in my hand! Where did it come from? Was it a stowaway from my previous cache adventures, or...😈?

I'm going to see if I can get this bad baby to the place that Jacobite wanted it in.

I've got just the place for the Baobhan Sidhe geocoin once ARAAHP gets a look at it!

Given the spell cast on me by the Baobhan Sidhe, I thought I had to take it to exactly the right sort of spot before it left me. So it is now resting peacefully in a Bronze Age stone circle. And despite the presence of a vampire in my pocket for a few days, I still have a full 8 pints of blood (lightly diluted in gin) coursing through my veins.

This certainly is a magic coin! Having recently discovered it, I now find it has posessed me!

Called in to "Ships, Claret..." to drop off a TB and a coin and ended up with two new coins in my pocket. I'll move this one on to a suitable location asap.
