Current Goal

This bug is going to California to compete in a travel bug race. It's goal is to win that race!!!!!!!!! The First CircumConUS Travel Bug Race. The racers are travel bugs that started in California and are moving from geocache to geocache circumnavigating the states of the conterminous United States, making some required "stops" along the way Please read the rules below and help George on her goal !!!

Race Rules

Travel bugs will follow a counter-clockwise route around the US:

The required stops are California (starting state and cache), Texas, Florida, Maine, Minnesota, Washington State, and back to the starting cache in California.

The bugs must trace the states in this order so any skipping of these goal states means backtracking. All other states and countries can be skipped.

Found in Mineral Springs Park Owatonna. Not MIA (Noted back in Oct. of 06) I have in hand and will be moving west a ways.

 George was a great traveler.  No car sickness or complaining. I think that's was because we let her stick out of the bag and watch the scenery.  We took her Caching in Waterloo, IA, then to our neice Alisa's graduation in Owatonna, MN.  Then we put her back on her way.  While with us she made some new friends, Our Snoopy & Woodstock PEZ, and our Shadow Ace.  Hope she gets there soon.  We are still watching the race.

  • George makes new friends George meets Snoopy, Woodstock and our Shadow A.C.E..
  • From Iowa to Minnesota Goerge rode like this all the way. From the look on her face you can tell she is happy to be moving again.
  • Arriving in Minnesota George had to make a quickstop. We took the opportunity to snap this shot of her 1st visit to Minnesota.
  • Attending a Graduation 2006 George attended our Neice Alisa's graduation. She wanted to take George to France with her but finishing the race won out.

WE HAD RESEARCHED GOECACHING, THOUGHT WE WOULD GIVE IT A TRY. KNEW WHAT TB'S WERE. ON OUR FIRST HUNT WE FOUND GEORGE, OUR TEENAGE DAUGHTER HATES LADYBUGS SO WE TOOK HIM. I THINK IT WAS DESTINY. WE WERE HEADED TO MINNESOTA THE NEXT WEEKEND FOR A GRADUATION. WILL DROP HIM OFF THERE. GOOD LUCK GEORGE!!!
P.S. WE RELAMINATED HIS CARD I DON'T THINK IT WOULD HAVE LASTED THE REST OF THE TRIP. :-)

Grabbed George on our first day of spring caches. We intend to move her to a travel bug hotel on I-55 north with hopes of getting her closer to her next destination of Minnesota.
