About This Item

5yen.JPG

For the Japanese, the 5 yen coin is a fortunate symbol.
It pronounces "5 yen" with "goen" in Japanese.
Then, "goen" means "a good relationship", too.
Therefore, a 5 yen coin is used as the fortunate charm in Japan.
Moreover, it becomes the meaning "to repeat a good relationship" when doing a 5 yen coin in the link (Goen ga kasanaru).

It was dark when I picked up this travelbug. Had I known it's goal, I would have let it reside awhile longer at Tubbs Hill Cache for reflection and serene meditation. A very spiritual place indeed! I will do my best to keep it moving on a quest for holy land.

This isn't so much a holy place as a spiritual place - the woods of Northern Idaho! The attached picture show sthe view that the 5 Yen Travel Bug currently enjoys.

I will find a suitable place to which to move this Travel Bug.

Cool!

I hope this is faithful enough to this travel bug's calling. This is the mosque near an airbase in Iraq. It's kind of neat to meet a travel bug that has come so far around the globe. Next stop may be back in the United States though since I'm short and about to leave this country.

Cool! A blessing to my down-trodden spirit for sure and a little luck (and my "get out of jail free" card) may just get me out of Iraq in four or five days. Thanks to kuss and ajayhawkfan for this travel bug.

I enjoyed looking at all the names and places on this one. Hold onto your hats now, Canoe Cat and KY Hiker were very familiar names since I used to cache in Hardin County and have found some of theirs and they have found some of mine. After Japan, this TB stopped in Pirtle Cache (which I have found) - all of this is really neat when you consider I am sitting in Iraq at the moment.
