Following in the footsteps of Hugh Glass, the goal of the promotion is for the Geocaching community to find “The Revenant Movie Trackable” prop packages and take them to some place incredible. We’re excited to see The Revenant props travel to extreme locations, face the unknown and survive the harsh winter wilderness. Join the hunt and discover lost treasures from The Revenant.
Inspired by true events, The Revenant is an immersive and visceral cinematic experience capturing one man’s epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit. In an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption. The Revenant is directed and co-written by renowned filmmaker, Academy Award winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Birdman, Babel).
This winter, in association with Geocaching HQ, Twentieth Century Fox Filmed Entertainment has hidden a series of artifacts from The Revenant movie in select cities across The United States, Mexico, Europe and Australia. Twenty “The Revenant Movie Trackable” prop packages have been hidden for the Geocaching community to find and discover lost treasures from the film. As the movie props travel from location to location, Geocachers are encouraged to log their find and place it in a new geocache to continue the movie prop’s journey. Geocachers are also encouraged to share their find via social media by posting a photo of their find using #TheRevenant.

Seen at BWTG near Kalamazoo. Being transported by Max B on the River. They explained the brief history of the hitch-hiker and their plans for moving it around before releasing it to the wild.

[red]I had the pleasure of discovering this interesting trackable while it was in the hands of MaxB on the River, when they stopped at my workplace, Gilda's Club Grand Rapids, to find the cache there. They are on the way to the SW MiGO potluck tonight. Thanks for the discover! Wish I could be at the event tonight.

This very cool TB stopped by my BWTG event for discovery. I would love to take this bugger on one of our adventures to get some cool pics out in the wilderness, but I'll have to settle for watching the movie and for today the bug will have to settle for the cozy fire of the Oshtemo, Michigan Cracker Barrel.
Thanks for sharing this unique travel bug!
