Current Goal

To travel around the United States in rememberance of all those who serve in our armed forces and the vets that have made this country what it is today. Would like to have pictures of his travels and the people he meets along the way. And one day come back home where all our heros belong.

About This Item

Catus Dan Memoral Travel Bug

This bug started it's life as a sand bag in 1990 it the desert of Saudi Arabia during the first Gulf War. It wasn't like the others made of plastic cloth this one was of burlap. So I took it and made me a Christmas Catus to remind me of my home in AZ and the family I left behind. After the war it came home with me and the following Christmas with the help of my daughter, it was made into a ornament for the Christmas tree. It has traveled to foriegn lands every time I have moved. This catus has been a reminder of those times, of the many great people I have served with. I would like to dedicate this travel bug to "bigdog" Who has passed on from injurys recieved in the first gulf war, and all the others who have given and are are still giving so much for this great country. We will be moving Cactus Dan along to the East towards Salem tomorrow. We took him this evening to the Desert Storm Memorial here in Lincoln City. Thought we should take some pictures of him at the memorial wall.
