Goodbye “Kinor Peak (MT)” Green Jeep Travel Bug, it’s time to let you have some new adventures so I’ve dropped you off next to a 4WD track just outside Nelson. Today, the Great South West Walk took us out of Victoria and into South Australia where I almost stepped on a copperhead snake. Very exciting, especially as Confused Aphorism was well ahead of me and he had the snake bite kit. Then it was back across the boarder into Victoria again. Time for some potato cakes! Good luck. 🐍

Geocaches are few and far between on this side of the Glenelg River. Still lots of wildlife, more koalas (the males are doing their mating calls, google it), bats, echidnas, birds, wallabies, and leeches! Not so good. One got me. You would think I’d be used to leeches at the moment. 🐨

Confused Aphorism and I have driven to Nelson, Western Victoria, and then grabbed a lift to start a 4 day walk along the Glenelg River section of the Great South West Walk. Started the walk in pouring rain next to a mob of wallabies. The rain went away but the wallabies were easy to see along all the walk. Great to be back bushwalking in Australia. 🦘

I used to travel past this statue near the Melbourne Art Centre twice a day on my way to school and back. Yesterday, I ran past it twice in the marathon. On no occasion did I think it was an outstanding piece of art. 🙅♀️

You’ve stayed a few nights in beautiful North Carlton. When I moved out of home while studying at university, my first home was here. I can even see it from this cache. Happy memories. 🥰

I confess I didn’t actually take you to this cache because it is conveniently just near the start of the Melbourne Marathon and even I don’t run marathons with more than one travel bug. I have driven across this bridge over the Yarra River with you though and you are here in spirit while I endure the next few hours of pain. The finish line is inside the MCG so that will be very exciting to run onto that hallowed turf. 🏃♀️

There was a Mega event in Parkville last year and a line of challenge caches were created along Merri Creek, not too far from North Carlton. I thought I should try and do some before they are archived. Spent the day walking up the creek and then returning via Brunswick. 🏆

Into Melbourne because I need to collect my race number for the coming Melbourne Marathon. Pick up was at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, also known as the MCG or ‘the G’. It’s the home of Cricket and Australian Rules Football in Australia and seats around 100,000 people. 🏏

I took you to the Victorian Rose Garden but it was just a bit early for the full colour flower spectacular. Try again in a fortnight.... 🌹

Needed to get away from everyone so went for a run to this pleasant reserve in Werribee. ☹️
