Current Goal

Transam (Trans America Samantha) is racing in the Travel Bug Race Through America 2004. The goal of this race is to visit as many of the 50 states of the USA before 4 July 2005. Please help her win! Please don't take her to Hawai'i or Alaska unless you plan to bring her back too.

The following are the rules:

  1. Racers may not be mailed, shipped, transported, grabbed, etc between cachers or muggles after the race starts, but must be carried from cache to cache by cachers. Racers can be placed by any cacher (including any racer bug owner), can be placed multiple times by the same cacher, and placements can include in-out placements.
  2. Racers may only be placed in regular/micro caches, no virtual or locationless caches. Some micros are pretty big, so they can't be ruled out, but hopefully the racer could actually fit in the cache, even if the drop is an in-out.
  3. The race started 1 May 2004 and will be over 4 July 2005.
  • When I was growing up in the Midwest, the Pontiac Trans Am was one of those cool American cars that guys drove. (I never had one.) Of course, it had to have Boston (538K, 30 sec clip of "More Than a Feeling") blaring out of the 8-track player too to complete the picture.

    Her hood is too big, the passenger area should extend farther forward, etc.
