Wer kennt sie nicht, die netten Kleinen? Schon lange vor dem Mainzer Mega-Event 2015 konnte man sie bestellen und ich habe die ganze "Familie" von meinem Freund zum 50. Geburtstag geschenkt bekommen. Immerhin habe sie mich ja auch all die Jahre begleitet!

Long before the Mainz mega event in 2015 you could order them and I got as a gift for the 50th birthday the whole "family". After all, they have pleased me all year!
Die Mainzelmännchen (namens Anton, Berti, Conni, Det, Edi und Fritzchen) waren am 2. April 1963 erstmals im ZDF zu sehen. Die kurzen Spots, die als auflockernde Trenner der Fernsehreklame dienen, dauern heutzutage etwa drei Sekunden. In früheren Jahren waren sie länger. Idee und das ursprüngliche Design stammen vom Grafiker und Bühnenbauer Wolf Gerlach.

The Mainzelmännchen (named Anton, Berti, Conni, Det, Edi und Fritzchen) were seen on April 2, 1963 for the first time in the German tv channel "ZDF". The short spots that serve as separators loosening of television advertising, take about three seconds nowadays. In previous years they were longer. Idea and the original design were created by graphic artist and stage builders Wolf Gerlach.
