About This Item

AMTG SG July 06 GC 1

July marks the start of Signal's trek all over the world. Watch in the coming months as we see Signal appear in countries from all over the world. Take this chance to learn a little about Geocaching and different corners of the world. Signal decided to start the journey close to home and then move onward! Enjoying some time in the United States, Signal is going to take advantage of some of the US's great caches, sights and events! Some spots Signal wants to visit include the location of the first Geocache, Death Valley (the lowest point) and Mount McKinley (the highest point), the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, the Giant Sequoia trees, the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, the Empire State Building, Niagra Falls, the Everglades, and more! With so much to see, can Signal get it all done in a month? We'll see!

Signal the Frog World Geocaching Series of geocoins was produced by the Geocoin Store (coinsandpins). The series consists of 19 coins issued over a period of the same number of months which chronicles Signal's worldwide adventure. In July 2007, Signal's passport filled up and the series has been discontinued.

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually on various social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. Thankfully, she still had a few notes that helped guide my search for the same trackables that she had already discovered. After looking at the TB page for each of the TBs that she had discovered, I found that a large number all belonged to several individuals and sent a message to them individually inquiring about permission to log their trackables. This travel bug was on the list that you shared with me.
